I'm sure they'll go on some insane run an make The Finals, but this team for the first time in basically Tim Duncan's entire career seems really, really old.

They are 4-6 in their last 10 including losing at home to Detroit.

Thoughts?

And yes, this is wishful thinking

Well they are super injured. However, thats usually what a decline due to age looks like.

Don't they always wait til the Rodeo roadtrip to get hot? Logic says that eventually they do have to fall off, but you're not gonna catch me making the mistake of prematurely writing them off again.

I don't believe so.

I really don't think Pop cares at all about the regular season. He wants his guys to get to the playoffs, and do so in one piece. I can't envision a scenario where Phoenix and/or New Orleans finishes ahead of San Antonio.

They were super salty last year from what went down in 2013. I kind of thought going into the season that they would not be half as motivated and the old guys might fall off the shelf. Maybe Kawhi, Danny Green, and Patty Mills go nuts again this year, but I don't see it.

I'm sure Pop is a little concerned. Right now, they are .500 on the road. They were one of the best road teams in the NBA last season.

If they are healthy and avoid OKC in the playoffs, they will be in the Finals again.

Yes, no more finals appearances for Duncan imo. Almost loss to Dallas last year and prob would've lost to OKC if Ibaka played the whole series imo.

Spurs had a good run. They win 4 or 5 titles?

If injuries are part of the decline, then maybe.

Kawhi Leonard has missed the last 10 games and Tony Parker has missed the last 5 up until last night.

If they're healthy in the postseason they'll compete with anybody.

They have literally not played one game at full health this season. They're a different team when Kawhi is on the floor. They need him back soon

Spurs never start playing until after Christmas
Title hangover sounds more like it
Injuries have played a factor
I bet the #1 seed in the west want no part of the 8 seed spurs though
