I prefer TDKR over TDK

I've seen them both at least 7-8 times now and I've decided that the dark Knight rises is my favorite film of the trilogy.
I remember seeing TDK in theaters and I was blown away. I remember seeing TDKR in theaters and I was a bit underwhelmed. But the next couple viewings really made it grow on me. How could you not get a warm fuzzy feeling inside when the self destructive Bruce Wayne saves 12 million and his own life by escaping Gotham. Of course this isn't the only aspect I like about the movie.
One negative. Still wish someone else had been cast for the roll of selina kyle

FIFY
My big gripe with TDKR is how Bruce went from cripple to Batman in a matter of days. That and the whole fact that if you add up time he was Batman throughout the entire trilogy, he was only Batman for like 7 months.

until you watch this scene:
and laugh at how no one is fighting and people are just moving around each other dancing.
this horrible scene killed this movie for me.

When I saw that fight sequence in theaters, it was so blatantly staged. The fighting was horribly executed and you'd see missed punches, guys flinching after being hit (only the punch wasn't thrown yet), etc.

But but but Nolan was dealing with a big set guys, and a lot of people, you can't expect everything to be perfect!

One of the worst fight scenes ever... and that includes cheeseball 80's action films.

the plot holes in TDKR were as big as the grand canyon.
bruce has a broken back and within a few weeks (I'm assuming) he's able to climb out of a pit that only person has before and then is able to beat the shite out bayne, yet this is the same bayne that completely and utterly beat the snot out of him weeks before. and that's just one of the many holes in the movie.

The movie has some real plot holes. The one you picked is not one.

Still trying to wrap my head around the fact that within 11 minutes, Batman goes from having knife in his side to getting into "The Bat," to chasing the truck, to hooking up the bomb, to trying to get out of the city, to taking the bomb miles out to sea.

We could also go on about how the Gotham Stock Exchange is taken over by terrorists who don't steal anything and the next day Wayne's fortune is gone but nobody outside of Fox suspects it to be fraud?

I can't figure out what happened when Batman jumped to catch Rachel and Joker is in a room with 100s of innocent people. Did he just walk out?

The dude hadn't even BEEN Batman for several years between TDK and TDKR with a bum knee. HGH is awesome!

Tony Romo played football with a cracked vertebrae a couple weeks after the injury. I'd assume Batman could get back into fighting shape after 5 months in the pit.

Yeah, that was probably the worst screw-up in the entire trilogy. Batman suddenly appears in the middle of a room full of people. Jumps off the building and barely has enough time to deploy his cape before they both fall on a car....but nobody is hurt. Then nothing. Not even a quick glimpse of the Joker leaving.

I remember 1/2 the audience saying "whaaa?" during that scene.
