With crude as low as it is, what is a smarter semi long term play? Would you throw money at Oil alone or would you buy into an energy fund like VGENX.

Would ideally hold either until there was a 50% increase. So Oil up to $75/barrel or VGENX up to $75/share

Maybe jlu03 will see this. He can tell you a lot about DGAZ.

Seriously though, from a purely speculative standpoint, I would probably do OIL at this level. It has fallen more so it could spike up at some point.

Better buckle up though it could be a crazy ride!

Does anyone know if Vanguard has a fund just for oil and what the symbol is?

VDE for the entire energy sector or XOP for oil and gas exploration.
