That would be a major upgrade at the QB position and he could teach Harris somethings. I could see Jennings transferring if this happened. Then all we need is Cam and Les to stop playing scared football and let the boy throw the ball around a little bit. Of course we have to stay true to our identity which is pounding the rock but passing keeps the defense honest.

Did they play scared football in 2013 with a 3,000 yard passer and two 1,000 yard receivers?

Senior QB who was with LSU a season prior.

I'm not sure what he would do with a transfer's first season, but I'm sure he'd open it up more.

since 2008 Les had kinda played conservative to just win it late outside of the 2013 season.. I hate this philosophy and much prefer we develop some serious confidence on offense to where if we do turn it over.. we can make it up EASILY.. this means playing your most talented players early and often.

No...but they had a QB they could trust. Clearly, this year...they did not.

Miller has never done this at Ohio State. He is much more of a runner than a thrower.

I understand miller is better than Jennings. But, he isn't a passing juggernaut. He averaged around 200 yds per game in the big 10. He ran for a lot of yards . He isn't that great of a passer. He is better than Jennings yes, but he isn't going to light it up here. Golson would be better IMOVIE, he throws considerably better. He just has turn over issues. I would tak 1.5 turnovers a game to get 24+ points a game in league play.

Thanks for proving my point.

You do realize Jordan Jefferson threw for more yards in the 2009 season than Braxton did in 2013, right?

ETA: Also, Miller has only had one game in his career where he passed for more than 250 yards. If he comes in, we'll have to retool our offensive scheme a bit.

Maybe he threw it as much ad he needed to. I don't remember too many close games under Miller, and they did have a good rb.

What if I told you that LSU in 2014 averaged the same amount of yards per pass as Ohio State did in 2013 – Miller's best year – despite Ohio State running 100 more offensive plays?

2000 yard passer and 1000 yard rusher twice. I can't see why people believe he can't help us.

I never said this. He can most definitely help us. I was just pointing out that he doesn't exactly "throw it around".

Our offense needs a bit of retooling anyhow. While the idea of getting Braxton is excited I will hold off until I actually see something official.

Very true. I'm not accusing you of doing so. Miller has a long way to go to be considered a great passer, but he's so dangerous that he gets away with a lot. Just think as well, a safety comes up and dural has 1 on 1 on a busted play. He's essentially Nick Marshall.

I wish he would come because if he looks bad then we'll know who is really at fault.

Why would you say despite running 100 more offensive plays? I'd say that LSU's issue was the short ball, not the long ball

An 8.2 average isn't bad at all

Well JJ was much more of a passer than a runner. Drew Brees ran for more yards than JJ did.

Miller basically missed their 3 cupcake games with injury

Go look at his passing YPG and get back to me.

Yeah, it's better than Jennings/Harris this year, but that's not saying much.

He's not that good of a passer, it's his excellent ability as a runner that makes him dangerous. For him to put up similar numbers at LSU, the offense would have to change a bit.

Yeah, this doesn't sound like an irrational lsu "fan" at all.

There is something seriously wrong with some of you on here.

Actually, that isn't really true.

You realize he's been injured right?
