Mack Brown only winning one MNC at Texas or Tony Dungy only winning one Super Bowl with Peyton in his prime?

Who did less with more?

Peyton didn't have a defense.

Nick Saban failing to get to the NC these last two years.

Nick Saban

3 out of 6 is nothing to sneeze at.

Edit: but this thread isn't about Alabama or Nick Saban...answer the fricking question.

Nick Saban losing at least one game for 5 straight seasons despite having the #1 recruiting class for like 8 straight years.

Of the two available choices, Mack Brown.

Peyton played pretty bad in a lot of those playoff losses. Not sure I can pin that on Dungy.

It's really fricking hard to win a championship. The Colts were very fortunate to win even the year that they won.

Especially with the way Manning played. 3 Td's 7 INTs in that Super Bowl run.

Pats blew like a 21-3 lead in the AFC title game that year.

Pats really should have won 4 out of 6.

ETA: 5 out of 7 if you count 2007.

Luckily for PM, they played a shitey Chicago offense and the Indi defense started to pick up during the post season.

Tony Dungy. He was a fricking defensive guy. He squandered way too many seasons of Peyton's prime.

Of the two choices, clearly Mack Brown.

But nobody compares to Mark Richt.

It's worth noting that a large number of those playoff loses for the Colts came from the eventual super bowl champion.

I think a bigger shortcoming for Mack was only winning the BigXII twice. During the 2000s, everyone said that whoever won OU-Texas would win the conference. Well, Mack won the South 6 times.

He'd probably have more than 1 NC if he had converted more of his chances at the BigXII title. As it is, he was 50% in NC games.

Jimmy Johnson leaving dallas. He would have won 4 in a row and never be touched
