Nobodies posted this yet? Looks great to me, but I know nothing about the character except he was an alcoholic in the comics. Love Paul Rudd, Douglas and the dude who plays the bad guy.

Agree. If it wasn't going to tie into everything else I'd be 50/50 on seeing it.

The tone of the trailer was way more serious than I was expecting. Not sure if I liked it. Looked pretty generic.

the only things I know about Ant-man...never read any of his comics is that he beat his wife and created Ultron...and it doesn't look like Marvel is going with either.

Douglas is Pym...who probably started the "dormant defense program" that becomes Ultron in AoU. Pym's wife has a tragic accident. Pym's daughter(Evangeline Lilly) goes by her moms name (Van Dyne,as in Wasp).
Rudd is Scott Lang, the electrician turned criminal who steals to pay for his sick daughters treatment.
and I liked the trailer. It's a corporate espionage theme. Not worried about how funny it's going to be. If Paul Rudd is the lead, it will have some comedic elements.

I actually really like Ant-Man and the Wasp as characters, so I'm looking forward to this one. It CAN be a good movie.
But man... did they make this trailer boring. A superhero movie about people talking, apparently. Editing in the trailer dragged, too.
Come on, Marvel... give me something to be excited about.

its just a teaser trailer
a lot of teaser trailers are set up like this, with some monologue over quick action shots or long shots of the protagonists face
with that said, I too am a bit "on the fence" about this one, but I said the same thing about Guardians of the Galaxy and that turned out to be my favorite movie of the year, so...

I am going to see this in theaters for sure but I wish they had given us a little more in this trailer even though its only a teaser. I need to do some research on Ant-Man too..but I'm looking forward to it. Marvel Studios has my confidence.

I love Rudd, but will likely pass on this. This just feels like Marvel wanting to do as many comic movies as possible, and I am starting to get burnt out on them a bit. Of course, I haven't really liked many of Marvel's films yet anyway for various reasons.
