Johnny Jones Tipoff Luncheon

Anybody ever go? Went today and it was actually a really good time. Good bit of people, as well. Blanton spoke and threw tons of praise towards CJJ. Jones said the best recruit he's ever gotten was David Patrick. Got me really excited for the rest of this year and the future.

I respect Blanton's opinion….Jones is proving to be one helluva recruiter….still not sold on his x's and o's though but we have seen a dramatic improvement (esp. on D) since the McNeese St. game

Seeing how DP is Simmons's godfather I really don't think we would get Benny without him.

Definitely Benny.
Most people lose the kid nicknames when they go to college, but Ben is adding it. I think it's hilarious.
I've always wanted to go to the luncheon's but I have been working out of town for all of them the past two years.

Edit: nvm. It was an interview from November. Kinda sad that no one on local radio has got Blakeney on.

Did you see the picture JaQuan Lyle posted on twitter? Blakeney facetime'd him right after his commitment in all LSU gear... Lyle seemed to like it.

Elbert will be relied on immensely next year. Against my advice to them I see M&M coming out and the void will be wide.

Does that make him the better recruit? Because it seems like Simmons was such a good recruit that we hired Patrick to get him, we didn't jump through hoops to get Patrick.
