Just realized that 8 of our next 11 basketball games will be televised on ESPN

You can thank the SEC Network deal for that. Really helps with coverage for every sport.

As long as you have a satellite or cable box that carries SECN you get it. No additional subscription needed.That is different for ESPNU though.
I'm pretty sure if you have a cable line that goes directly into the back of your TV you don't get SECn but I wouldn't think you could do that without a cable provider.
