Anyone used Costco as a travel agent?

We're going to Disney World in the spring and wondered if any of you have used Costco as the travel agent. We usually use a company, but now that we have a Costco card, curious about experiences.

I went on a ski trip using them last year.
Only problem was I had to buy 20 vacation packages to really save money.

Why do you need a travel agent for Disney?

We used a travel agent when we went to Disney. Much easier since we were too busy and never booked a Disney trip. She took care of all the special dining reservations as well as everything else. All I had to do was show up t the airport and follow her itenary. Wasn't anymore expensive if I had booked it myself through disney

Nah, that would only be the case if you used Walmart as a travel agent

Actually we paid less by booking ourselves and doing a little bit of research. First thing to do is get a Disney credit card. You dont have to use it but we got a free meal plan on our recent trip in November just bc we had a disney card. You also get all kinds of other deals depending on when you go. Also if you look on Ebay, there are people selling Fast Passes all the time on there.

We booked our Honeymoon through BJ's (similar to Costco) and saved some money. I'd use them again.

I doubt you got a meal plan just for having a Disney card.
They offer that at different times of the year to everyone depending on demand

You'd be surprised. A lot of people still use them (mostly for luxury travel), and many of them can get you some pretty good extra hotel benefits (incidental credits, upgrades, free amenities, free meals). Good ones usually have some kind of partnership/relationship with hotels and can get restrictions waived, rules bent, etc. If you have any problems at hotels, they do a good job of getting it solved for you.

How would that work? FastPass+ is linked to your park ticket.

We used a travel agent for any trips we have taken out of the country. Used one for our honeymoon....,they set everything up for us (excursions, travel within the country, hotels). It was great landing in Costa Rica and all that already taken care of. Don't knock travel agents.....they have their worth for certain trips.

Then why was it only available to those that had a disney card? My sister in law had a card and recieved an email mentioning the promotion. We were in the process of booking at the exact same time(since we were all going together) and never recieved that promotion. When we asked Disney reps about it, we were told it was a promotion only for Disney cardholders. Needless to say, we got a card, and then used the Nov promotion.
The travel agent whom we considered using didnt have the free meal plan available and confirmed that it was only for Disney cardholders as well. Im not saying that everyone will get a free meal plan for getting a card but there are certain promotions every month only for cardholders.
