I bought my Federal Duck Stamp @ Cabela's on 12-19-14. I was given a receipt that is valid for 45 days. Since that is past the close of season I really don't need the stamp that came in the mail today. I never sold a stamp before should I use Ebay or Craiglist?

You don't keep yours as a collection? I have all my stamps beginning in the 1970s.

I have signed them all unfortunately. I do not believe you can leave them blank. But it is still cool to look at them every so often.

Did the Gub'ment really overlook the possibility of a reduction in wildlife funds?

You can leave them blank if attached to your license.

No, must be attached to license and signed across stamp and license.

Sorry but that wouldn't be right. It's just a joke showing the flaw in the system. Maybe green jeans will read this and change it for next year.

Have you been checked with an unsigned stamp? You are lucky if you have not been ticketed.

I didn't interpret it that way. Ive hunted in multiple states and can't attach one stamp to multiple licenses. I also have a louisiana lifetime license so attaching it would be a PIA to remove.

Once you buy a Federal Duck Stamp, you need to sign the front of it in order for it to be valid. Remember—only you can use your Federal Duck Stamp, and wildlife management personnel will compare your stamp to your hunting license to make sure they are both yours.

Game warden in my previous life.

If the license is UNattached and not signed you can be ticketed, b/c you can pass the license to another person when you get home or back to the camp for them to use.

If it it attached to your license, you obviously can't pass it to another hunter so you're fine.

so if you have a lifetime license in LA can you sign the stamp and not stick to the license? I keep my stamps too and with the old paper license it is no big deal, but with a plastic lifetime you would have to soak in water to remove the stamp, and as a collectible would devalue.

I ppaste mine on the back of my LL and put clear packing tape over it, signed, of course.

If you hunt with it, it must be signed. Otherwise, it could be a collector's item.

Are these even collectibles anymore? Every duck hunter gets one, and you can buy an extra one if you want it.

Edit: My point being is that it seems like every duck hunter saves theirs, so who else would want to buy them?

What do you do with the actual stamp? Do you have a notebook like for baseball cards? Stuck to an index card?

First year duck hunting here, hope to have a decades-long collection myself one day

I have mine in plastic sheets made to hold the old projector slides. Including mine, my dads, and grandfather I have all but a few of the stamps since the program started. Nothing in mint condition and all written across the face, just a good sentimental collection.
