Who do we finish with? Does this change things with Charlot???

I think we land Phillips tomorrow, Donte Jackson and Derrick Dillon down the road. Beyond that

How do we stand with Phillips going into tomorrow? I know Chavis hurt us, but seems like this kid really WANTS to be at LSU. I imagine if he commits, it will be a soft one until he sees the DC hire.

He said himself Chavis leaving didn't change anything as long as Haley stays

Still need to keep the heat on Leo Lewis.

He also praised coach O, so I think we might be fine either way. I really believe he commits tomorrow to LSU. They said he's been the best lineman there.

Wouldn't O pretty much replace haley if he came? Hopefully the staff is keeping him informed of where things stand as far as candidates.

Not a huge deal, but they showed some vids from practice and he absolutely destroyed Ivey in a pass rush drill.

Still in it for Weathersby, Charlot, Mark Fields, Leo Lewis, Iman Marshall, Demarkus Lodge, Jamal Peters, Holton Hill, Dylan Jackson, Arden Key, Justin Reid, Arthur McGinnis, Christian Campbell, and probably some others we don't know of yet.

I see a real need for DE/DL.

Haley isn't following Chief to TAMU. If he leaves, it will be to Miss St as their DC. But he's not following Chief to TAMU.

If he stays, and I think he does, and we hire Pendergast as the DC, who is our top choice, then Orgeron will have to be the LB coach for us. Would he do that? Not sure. Can he be a LB coach? Yes.

And I think that would be the best case scenario, considering recruits have said that as long as Haley is here they will stay interested. Not to say Ed O can't recruit, because he can, but it's clear that Brick has built some great relationships with some big time prospects.

You're right, not huge at all. Remember when Cam Rob was getting destroyed by Willis? Our guy Willis?

Want Arden Key really badly. He is at a position of need and if we could land him and Phillips we would really fill it

WE DON'T HAVE A SPOT FOR TWO COACHES IN AND ONLY ONE OUT.

without a move in the staff

I strongly anticipate a formal announcement will be made on Monday regarding Coach Haley's status with LSU.

Someone is capable of coaching lbs out of the Haley, O, and Pendergast I would imagine. It sounds like a position for Orgeron will come about one way or another.

To the actual topic, TJ will help us land Donte Jackson and that will be huge. Key and Phillips are strong possibilities. I posted a couple of weeks ago that Johnson and Phillips were the 2 big targets most likely to commit to LSU. I do think Chavis will factor in slightly to Phillips' decision, but LSU still looks good to land him.

I'm interested to see where this Iman Marshall thing is going and to hear more about Leo Lewis.

Pendergast has coached LBs before, IIRC.

Brick Haley

the most obvious choice, and therefore least likely to happen, is Ensminger to admin, Henry gets TEs and either Brick or O coaches LBs with the other getting DL.
