Now that football season is winding down, I'm mulling over droppings cable. I have logins for ESPN and HBOGo.

One of my SO and I's favorite shows to watch together, though, is "Face/Off" which airs on SciFi. Does anyone know of any apps or sites that will allow me to watch that show? I have a Roku and a Chromecast.

P.S. also looking for antenna recommendations (live in BR)

Excellent! That's great news. Last summer, they would only have clips, no full episodes. Now, I can cut the cord without worrying about any bitching

Any recommendations on Antennas?

I have a simple pair of rabbit ears, but anything other than WBRZ was a crapshoot.

I would like to be able to catch WAFB, WGMB, WVLA, and WLFT

Also any recommendations for cool apps that work on Roku or Chromecast outside of WatchESPN, Netflix, Hulu, HBO, ect?

I don't really have a PC capable of doing so nor am I familiar enough with the sites I would need to use or the hardware necessary for playing those aforementioned torrents on my television set.

When you cancel the cable, but keep the internet, you SHOULD still get these channels

I know I can pick them up using a really good antenna, but I'll be able to get these via my cable wire?

Cox is going up a few dollars starting this month according to my last bill. Makes this decision a little easier.

I did it this year, and have had mixed feelings.

First, I live in a smaller town with bigger Internet reliability issues than I realized. This makes streaming content often frustrating or impossible. I'm supposed to get up to 20 Mbs, but am often left with <1.

Second, my antenna has trouble getting CBS, and the only way to remedy this is to put one on the roof.

All this aside, we are able to stream most everything through Hulu, Amazon Prime, and Netflix. The WatchESPN app is very unreliable even with decent signal.

My two biggest adjustments have been not being able to really channel surf or to easily find something when I have family come over. On demand video is much more personal as you have to actively look for a program. Channel surfing allows you to mindlessly browse until something catches your eye. When family comes over you have to explain your set up and or choose something for them.

Try the plex app on roku. I use the unsupported app store within plex and use apps like ClickPlay and iShows to watch everything. I'm pretty sure Face/Off is on one of the apps. I can post an update when I get home from work.
