Where did I say take him in the 1st rd? Our FG kicking has been atrocious as per NFL standards for a couple yrs now.

Looking for a K in the mid to late rounds should be a consideration.

Theres a kicker on every street corner as good as this guy. No need to waste a pick on a kicker plain and simple.

Well someone tell this to Payton bc we have been terrible the last 2 yrs. 40 and in FGs should be automatic. Yall make it seem like 5th rd guys are definite studs or something. 5th rd "non specialty" guys are 50/50 to make the team. We would get someone that would be a day 1 starter in the 5th. People are crying about getting weapons, well this guy has the ability to be a Justin Tucker/SeaBass type weapon.

Just pisses me off watching the Fslcons trot Bryant out there to hit a game winning FG from 50+ knowing damn well he WILL make it. Saints have possibly the best environment for a K yet our FG Kicking game has been atrocious.

Btw, he is pretty far and away the best K in the draft.

Yeah, I'd spend a 5th on him easily, and maybe even a 4th depending who's available.

If you draft a Kicker in the 5th round or higher, there's no way hes 50/50 to make the team

Special team guys usually go undrafted unless a team specifically wants them and they're one of the best

That's what I am saying. A regular guy getting drafted in the 5th is 50/50. If we draft this guy in the 5th, he will be a starter and a huge upgrade over what we have.

Yeah, he hit the upright on a 54 yarder. But he's only missed 4 in his whole career. Saints kickers miss more extra points than that.
He might not be a weapon like Dan Bailey, where he's automatic from 50+...
But you should either punt or go for it when you are beyond 50-55 anyway.

As a Clemson fan I know first hand how good he is. He is a beast with absolute ice in his veins.

He should certainly be on the radar, dude is one of the more automatic kickers i've seen in CFB in quite some time. However though, I think another FSU kicker we just signed in Dustin Hopkins will be pretty good and doesn't require a draft pick.

Aguayo is the best kicker prospect since Janikowski. There isn't a chance in hell he makes it to the 5th round when he comes out. Janikowski went in the first. Colquitt went in the second as a punter. Aguayo probably goes in the 2nd or 3rd when he does come out. Pretty silly to think a guy that'll be a 15 year starter is going to be available late in the draft.

Would you mind picking up Payton the next time you go on a Sunday drive?
