...could they have possibly done better under a different coaching staff and offensive system? For instance, if Brian Kelly had AJ or JJ or even a rue freeman like BH, would any of them have been any more competent and effective than they have been at LSU?

Good QBs are smart people.

Smart people don't want to play QB for Les Miles.

Nick Marshall is not an NFL quality QB... But watching him throw the ball today and comparing to AJ, God bless him, spoke volumes. Marshall throws the ball with supreme confidence. AJ does not. The question is this: Do they lose confidence from their own performance or do to the coaching?

Honestly, it would be nice to just have a pocket passer. These running QBs are looking for gaps more than receivers.

NO ONE on this board disliked JJ being on the field more than I did.

And ya know what? If he were on our team now and AJ set foot on the field, I'd lose my f'n mind!!!

JJ was LIGHT YEARS better than AJ. That is just how f'n bad AJ is. He's so f'n bad, I'd beg for JJ to start over him.

Who is this "rue freeman" you speak of? Is he available?

I do think that Miles teaches such a fear of INTs that he breeds fear in his QBs.

Sure, INTs are bad, but a complete fear of getting rid of the ball absent the WR being wide the frick open is NOT an improvement!!!

Undeniable fact. Les beats fear into his QBs. He has no idea how to handle a QB. Which means he has no place in modern football.

I don't think the 'good' offensive coaches would recruit players like AJ or JJ. Didn't Richt have no interest in Jennings and he was from Ga?

Don't compare JJ to AJ

Jefferswag had a much better arm and could at least look off one receiver from time to time

JJ played better with less experience than AJ has right now. AJ is NOT the answer. If he starts next year, we may be looking at another 8 -5 or worse season.

JJ had a strong arm. I still remember he hit a deep out in 2011 vs Arky on a rope that was an NFL route. His biggest problem was a PAINFULLY long wind up on his release and decision making. I never felt thought that physically we had to limit the playbook.

I feel like Jennings may have some intangibles.

It's the coaching. JJ had horrible instincts but was allowed to throw a little more early on.

Jennings wasn't allowed to throw it unless he had to, even against the cupcakes on the schedule. Led should stay home for the cupcakes as he doesn't have the chest to beat up on a weaker team that we pay millions to play us.
