In hindsight, we were pretty bad defensively all year

The best performance came against a fraud Ole Miss team with a pre-schooler at QB. Every other team on our schedule that really mattered moved the ball very well on us. Even A&M had a chance to win it. They were well on their way to scoring. Bama is the only good performance and we know how that ended for the D.

Our mid season defensive recovery was not much of a recovery. 3 yrs in a row that the defense underperformed. Beginning to believe this is a good change.

This! Too many 3 and outs. The defense can be stout only for so long.

No, not jaded. I still think Chavis was a loss from a recruiting perspective and for the program's reputation. This kind of drama should never happen.

Having said that, I think we were crediting him more than he deserved. The offense sucks but the defense hasn't been stellar either.
