Chavis was not a high performer and asked for more money. Also the way he left shows his character.

He left because it shows an incompetent front office that has been losing it for the last few years. He's not a moron. Sumlin has a good thing going in Aggie land. Chavis will keep most of his recruits because of proximity. Its not like College Station is that far.

Good move by the guy

I am with you.

Never like losing a quality coach, but I am fine with this.

Fire Alleva for other reasons!!!!!

You are partially correct in that he has been having some issues recently that were never fixed. But he is also the biggest reason we have won the majority of our games since he's been here. Without him getting the D on track this year, we probably lose 7 games at minimum. If anyone deserved a big raise, it's him.

I'd be curious to know your thoughts on miles' raise after the 2012 regular season, before the bowl game, when he was "talking" to Arkansas

I bet LSU defense will be better than A&M.
TAM is looking at those games they played vs LSU.

Sure LSU was great on defense before Chavis arrived remember ?

We're great on offense so it doesn't matter right ?

Exactly, he wasn't a great recruiter. We missed on a lot of guys. He is and will be good coach, but this team needs some different energy implemented into the program.
