"I think our guys got a lot of energy from this city tonight, and that's what I've been trying to explain to our fan base since I've been here," said Pelicans coach Monty Williams, now in his fifth season. "To get that many people in our arena cheering for our guys down the stretch, knocking down buckets and getting stops, and have our people cheer for us gives our guys a good boost."

Just keep winning and people will come. It is as simple as that. It's not rocket surgery.

Tavares is gonna have this team just good enough by the end of the year to miss the playoffs yet keep his job.

This is my worst fear, but unfortunately, I agree. I'm hoping it's playoffs of bust for him this season.

I think we will see a really strong crowd Friday, especially if we beat the Spurs tonight.

January should be a fricking feeding frenzy of wins compared to December, and we did pretty damn well considering teh competition.

Beginning next week the schedule gets a good but easier. I know it's been frustrating with winning one/losing one but with the teams we've been playing, I am glad that the team avoided a bad losing streak. Hopefully hit the easier stretch at a game it two over .500 and then reel off 8 or so out of 10.

At least you're admitting Monty sucks.

So the first thank you we get this season is from Monty. Coincidence? Not a chance. The guy is an amazing kiss arse.

I'm petrified we will waste this year and barely miss the playoffs. Sneak in next year and get bounced really early. Then ride him one more year to actually have to make noise or get fired. At least 2.5 more years of Monty makes my blood boil.
