Absolutely no correlation between these movies except they all are new or yet to be released and Ive watched them haha.

Ranking them I'd say

1)The Drop
This is a great movie. Tom Hardy kills it. Definitely check it out.
2)Foxcatcher
Great acting. Even Tatum was good. Lots of physical transformations.
3)Theory of Everything
Stephen Hawking biodrama. Well done. More of a focus on marriage than science. Will be compared by viewers to A Beautiful Mind(it wasnt close to being as good)

Id recommend them all. Anyone caught any of these yet?

All three should be on any website worth its salt. Screener season is truly the most wonderful time of the year.

Saw The Drop when it came out....I really enjoyed it. After watching it, I thought that god forbid, they ever make a remake of Rocky, that Hardy could pull it off.

Ill add that...

SPOLIER KINDA

The ending used symbolism very effectively. The narration and the parallelism between it and the scene that followed was great.

Saw Foxcatcher and Theory. Both were very good. I also saw the new Benedict Cumberbatch movie, whatever it is called, about them cracking the German code during WW2. It was fantastic.

I think this is the most recent mention of The Drop. It deserves another mention on the board. I just got around to it tonight, terrific movie. As said in the original post, Tom Hardy kills it. Great cast and performances. Don't expect a whole bunch of action but tense the whole time, based on a book by Dennis Lehane.

The Imitation Game.

I watched American Sniper last night. It, along with Imitation Game were the best two movies I saw this year.
