I bought some weatherproof outdoor string lights. One of the bulb sockets is in a place I don't want to put a bulb in. Can I leave the socket open exposed to the elements or is there a "dummy socket" that I can screw in to keep it covered rather than open? I googled and checked on amazon, but not sure the name of the item. Anybody have a lushest ion / link to a product I can use?

Putting something like this with some electrical tape over the slots would be better than nothing. Or a burnt out bulb.

Good idea, a burnt out bulb should work.
