I can't say that I'm confident about future success, but, the New Orleans Saints have a SUPERBOWL CHAMPIONSHIP Lombardi Trophy.

Did you hear the rest of his press conference? Dude was lost. ATL radio has been killing Blank for two days. Apparently it was the first time he didn't go down on the field after a game, refused an interview (again, something he doesn't do) and was apparently just an all around dick head to his assistant and the folks around him. Very unBlanklike
His football team sucks and he has no clue how to fix it right now and he's freaking out. They were talking about how he was unprepared for the Dimitroff questions and was visibly bothered. There was also a part where he said they'd be fine b/c Phil Simms said Matt Ryan was an elite qb....
All that said, I get your point. The Saints are clearly in his head. There was no point in bringing up the previous week's game, and you if think he would have used the term "beat the crap out of" when referring to any other team, you're kidding yourself. Sure, it was accurate but we all know damn well he threw that in there as if to say "Look at us....we finally beat the Saints"
In the end I just looked at it as part of the ramblings of a stressed out old man
