"(Smith) would say (the involvement of Korn/Ferry) was not (a distraction), but I'll also say to you the week before when CBS reported similar reports, and we beat the crap out of the Saints in New Orleans, I didn't hear a lot of reporting about was that a distraction, because obviously it wasn't," Blank said.

It's a moot point. They had our number this year. And yet fired their coach, missed the playoffs in embarrassing fashion, and will regress as a new coach impliments his own system. Saints will right the ship and put them back in their place.

After the Panthers game, I heard that he is ready to propose a new rule that you get an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty if you return an interception for a touchdown.

I have no problem with what he said in that presser. They dominated that last game, did enough in the first game, and showed they were number 2 in the division. Granted, number 2 in this division is just about worth a number 2.

Yea, I don't see where his logic was bad or why it was a dig, really. There was a question asked about the leaking of the search committee about 4 hours before the Panthers game. He replied that he did hire the firm but that it wasn't a distraction. That the same rumors of Mike Smith's demise were circling before the NO game in NO and ATL beat up the Saints in that game.
We both sucked this year. Don't think any fan or paid employee from either ATL or NO would disagree with that.

They swept us for the first time in how long, and they still couldn't make the playoffs
