I have wished that was the pick since day 1. I liked taking a pass rusher over a QB, but we picked the wrong pass rusher.

I agree with this, by nature of being the Most Valuable Player. But with all sports awards, the guy that fits the name of the award doesn't always win. (See numerous Heisman winners/snubs)

Then maybe it would have been Mack who tore a muscle on the Texan's turf?

Not that he was overly dominate but Clowney was playing well and productive in the limited time he saw in the preseason / regular season before being hurt.
