I wish I did . I see these commercials and facebook photos. And it looks cool . The crowds , action, parties and memories . The cheerleaders and after practice dinners . It's. Good way to meet friends and be known . Intramural sports don't compare .

You definitely missed out, and you'll never get those days back. I'll be talkin about my two TD 120 yd homecoming night for years to come.

I only regret not accepting a scholarship offer to play football. Instead, I decided to be a Greek league intramural stud.

I regret blowing my knee out in the State Championship Game. Florida State tore up my offer after the doc said I was finished for good.

I brought as much pain as I could in the name of my class single-A school, but without much fanfair in the papers.

Between my friends and I, we conquered the world.

And our recollection of it all gets better and better every year, so there's that

I played HS football. The only reason to play sports is because you enjoy it, not because you think it will somehow make your life better. It doesn't work that way. No regrets, but it didn't make me a 'cool guy,' and nobody gives a shite about any of that stuff after you graduate anyway.

If you want to meet girls, sports are the wrong place, because they ain't there except maybe once a week, and you're on the field while they're in the stands. Do something where you'll actually spend time with them. Join the band, or better yet, the theatre department.

High school sports was terrific. I'm also in my mid-20s and I know the only people from now on that I will likely swap stories with are former teammates and family. No one else needs a high school sports hero story.
