Is there anything like Age of Empires / Empire Earth anymore?

Basically an empire-building game where you gather resources, build the infrastructure and army and battle it out with others. I'm not big on magic/wizard type games. I'm looking for something like the original Age of Empires in either an app or flash game. Anyone know if it exists?

Company of Heroes is pretty close. Single player campaign fun too. The original and all dlc can be had for cheap. The sequel is fun too.
