I understood the Jefferson choice over Lee. Lee really wasn't appreciably better and Jefferson had the scrambling ability on broken plays.

This Jennings-Harris deal is really confusing though. Jennings has been the worst we have seen at QB in a very long time yet he hasn't been truely benched for youth. Harris has obviously shown promise this year unlike Jennings.

His absolute worst is right in line with AJ's averages

Are you questioning les miles decision to put him in the game?

He was set up for failure from the start of the Auburn game. He was a freshman and put in a bad situation.

Anyone with football knowledge knows that what Les and Cam is doing with these two QBs is as dumb as it gets. IMO AJ hasn't got it and never will. If we had lost 5 or 6 games this year with BH I would have accepted it because I know he has the potential to be great. We have not seen any flashes of greatness in AJ's game.

Two handoffs and a busted play that got him sacked against Wisky isn't a good sample.

Was he bad at Auburn? Hell yes! He was absolutely putrid. But AJ was no better, completing 2 passes more than Harris did and led one less scoring drive than Harris.

If Harris had gotten any sort of respectable playing time, he'd have been pulled in a heartbeat for playing the way AJ has all year.

What performance? He handed the ball off twice and was sacked with zero blocking. That's a huge sample... Wow, what a terrible post.

Wisconsin? He was only in for a few plays.

At his best as a true frosh, he was much better than AJ at his best. At their worst, he was still better than AJ.

Do you people not realize why Harris is not playing? He has not put in the work to learn the playbook and thinks he can wing it and succeed on talent alone . The coaches know Jennings is not the answer but Harris has given them no choice. He consistently puts players out of position and calls plays that are not in the playbook when he is in. This will come out eventually. I hope he comes back and earns the position because he is immensely talented, but it is up to him.

Don't forget that miles will stay with qb the whole game doing nothing rather than change, even if it means losing nc game and getting huge raise, or losing to a team that hasn't won a conference game is almost 2 yrs. So no surprise harris not working with first team.

Am inclined to agree with this, but the outcome of the bowl game will have something to say about the favorite QB going into spring training.

AJ needs to shut his piehole and put his money where his mouth is instead of playing like total dogshite every time he takes the field.

Every single report I read, and every bit of "inside information" I hear, suggests that the team as a whole feels far more comfortable with Jennings than with Harris. That should tell us something, imo.

But Les and Cam throwing away their jobs b/c they would rather play favorites over an entire season than win games, doesn't strike me as a plausible scenario.

There won't be any links. It's the stuff that gets filtered out via "insiders" like Ponamsky. The thing about those bits of insider info is that as the season progressed the reasoning constantly changed.

For a while he didn't "know the mesh points" to hand the ball to the RBs. Then he miraculously did know them. Then he started. Then he didn't know the playbook.

But then they were splitting all the reps.

Then after the team got their asses whipped at Arkansas he was a malcontent.

all the shifting basically tells us that the "insiders" are just les miles mouth piece. They aren't going to roll AJ under the bus ever.
