This isn't good for the offense. When he is out that means that some a backup has to play at LG. So basically we are missing two starters.

Porter is still on crutches so Dodd or Pocic will be taking his place. I think Evan Washington was mentioned as taking the RG spot I think but I'm not certain.

I trust Collins and the rest of the O-line to play well. We'd kill to have this quality of a line back next year.

I didn't know. This December has been too busy! Lol! I'm sure that we will be ok but I always like to see us a full strength. At least it gives some of the future starters a chance at reps.

Porter has always been an alright center. Really sad to see him miss the bowl game but when it comes to on the field success we have plenty of depth with Pocic Washington and Fehoko. Won't be a huge drop off especially against ND 2nd/3rd string D.

Please let them just put Porter in there. I hate when they want to reshuffle the RG just because Porter gets hurt. Keep Pocic at RG.

I agree with you. Might not be popular opinion, but I became less impressed with Porter as the year went on. Pocic was fine when Porter went down before.
OP is right about line shuffling hurting the offense, but with the extra prep time for the bowl, we will be fine.

Notre Dame is ravaged on D. Missing starters on our OL is bad but not anywhere near as bad as the Irish's losses on D.
