North Korea blamed its recent Internet outage on the United States on Saturday and hurled racially charged insults at President Barack Obama over the hacking row involving the movie "The Interview."

North Korea's powerful National Defense Commission, which is headed by country leader Kim Jong Un and is the nation's top governing body, said Obama was behind the release of the comedy that depicts Kim's assassination. The commission described the movie as illegal, dishonest and reactionary.

"Obama always goes reckless in words and deeds like a monkey in a tropical forest," an unidentified spokesman at the commission's Policy Department said in a statement carried by the country's official Korean Central News Agency.

In fairness, it is common for Asians to refer to hyperactive, out of control people as monkeys. It's not really a racial slur.

When I was a child my french speaking grandmother referred to me as Tee Macaque. This meant "my little monkey". It meant that I was being reckless and disobedient.

Have you seen Team America World Police? I'm so ronery...

Hell this could be a common expression in Korean or something was lost in translation.

But no let's get super outraged over a monkey metaphor and nuke North Korea because racism (whatever the frick that is) is worse than rape and murder

Why would it matter if it was?

Are we really discussing this?

Military industrial complex wants a new war. It could be Iran, Russia, or NK. They're just testing the waters and trying to turn public opinion. I'm quite proud of my fellow Americans for not buying into this anti-Iranian and anti-Russian propaganda we've been seeing. Otherwise we'd already be at war. This North Korean stuff is just laughable. They're getting desperate.

The connotation is understood in East Asia. Chinese and DPRK officials have used it in the past to describe Condi Rice and Obama.

Hyperbole much? I doubt anyone is going to get "super outraged" over what a spokesman for one of the most wretched governments/countries on the face of the Earth said. Again, this isn't the first time. Our government doesn't even respond to this type of thing.

racism (whatever the frick that is)

It's not so difficult a concept. If being confused about something causes you to become pissy, maybe you just ask someone to explain things to you.

I do not believe in a hierarchy of races, that one is inherently better or more human than another. I've never suggested this.

Yet asurob calls me a racist. Why?

The media will act like him saying this is worse than if he fired a nuclear missile at the white house.

MI complex is a cute term, but it does not denote a governing board, steering committee, or shadowy organization of any sort. And no one with any influence or wealth whatsoever wants a war with Russia.

Both nations/governments are pretty terrible and work actively against American interests in all things that they do. The "propaganda" doesn't tell half the story. But the prospect of being in a hot war with either in the near future is so remote it isn't even worth discussing. Bush and Obama have had cause and multiple opportunities to draw Iran into a war since the invasion of Iraq; We had 200,000 troops divided between two countries that border them at one time, and 2-3 carrier strike groups at the height of our presence. We had Bibi and the Israel lobby pushing and pushing and pushing from the middle of 2012 through 2013. We said no.

If it's established that the North Koreans were responsible for the cyber attacks, a proportional response is in order. It won't likely escalate to a traditional shooting war.

Then why did Eisenhower denote it in his farewell speech a lot?

We've ignored the frick out of his warnings btw.

I haven't seen any indication that you're racist and don't know why ASURob called you one. But I think most Americans with a pulse have some idea of what racism is. I'd assume that most have specifically encountered racist behavior at some point in their lives).

It's ironic, because if anybody is ripe for racial parody, it's that tiny-dicked Korean frickface. I'm pretty sure I could pick a seventh grader out of any random class in America, and he could kick that waddling fatfrick's arse.

I just hope I live long enough to see him hang.
