Kyle is A sniper with 166 confirmed kills, bragged he actually killed 250... And loved doing it. Hence the comparison with Malvo. Blumenthal writes a lot re the Middle East.

This guy wouldn't dare ever leave the comfort zone of his local Starbucks to actually, say, embed himself with the Iraqi Kurd population like real journalists used to.
