I often wonder if there is such a thing as a stomach virus or is it simply a matter of unsafe food handling practices leading to food poisoning.
Working with kids I can safely say there's a stomach virus. We got hit hard with that, the flu, and strep all before the break started.
As far as remedies, Pedialyte and ride that shite out.

Greek Yogurt with active colonies. Probiotics are the best in this situation.
Edit: Much better than medicine that can harm you more.

Wife woke uo at 3 am Christmas morning blowing out both ends. I locked her in an area of the house not being used with a two day supply of water and disinfectant and told her to not come out for two days and when she got better to strip down the bedding and wash it herself.
I haven't caught it

It's going around everywhere. I had it the othe day of course from my kids bringing it home, 11 kids in their 15 kid total class had it. I took zofran and a pain pill before bed time and woke up like a million bucks, kept taking the zofran the following day and didn't miss a beat.
