I was contracted with the National Guard as. Member to have my student loans repaid. I turned in papers to have done and subsequently was called of to Desert Storm. Shortly after returning my unit shut down and I moved to another city as well. Loans were never paid by Government and I continued to do so while making inquiries for years vet rep for Louisiana, congressman, etc. Never any action.
Any suggestions

Do you have the paperwork for this?

Were you LA national guard? Because the La National Guardloan forgiveness programs are/were fairly limited in nature, as La National Guard service entitles you to free instate tuition at state schools. Between free tuition and post 9/11 GI bill benefits, you shouldn't have had much reason to borrow. As of the late 00s, the Guard was paying for grad school loans, but it only made min required payments while you were an active guardsman. Once you separated, no additional payments were made.
If you had a specific enlistment contract that covered loan repayment, you'd better be able to produce it, or you're not going to make much headway. My advice is to gather as much documentation as you can, then contact the LA department of Veterans Affairs: LINK
If your guard service was in another state, you're going to have to take it up with that state.

Yes Louisiana National Guard, the contract was for payments to be paid on student loans based on yearly anniversary of Guard service. It was not a forgiveness program at all. Paperwork turned in nothing happened.
I appreciate the link, but I've hit that one as well.

How long ago was this? Desert Storm? Why are you just now inquiring about this. You need to first provide evidence that your contract had the SLRP in it (it is now called the college loan repayment program.) You then need to contact Human Resource Command and they should direct you to who you need to speak with.
You should have taken care of this ASAP.
