Made my first duck hunt with my daughter this morning on public land. Big mistake there. Was so many hunters, it was unreal. Every time a band of birds would come, there was a "how is the shitest duck caller contest".

Didn't even fire a shot.

Yesterday's IST for Little Dongs.

I spent four hours putting together and hanging their stand from Santa. At 4:00 I walked them out and strapped them in the stand with their bow for an evening hunt. At 4:09 they radioed me and said they wanted down to play with the other toys Santa got them.

That great Mine are like that and I don't know if I should just let them go anytime and have fun or teach them that it's serious business and if they are gonna hunt they'll have to suck it up and sit even when they don't feel like it

If they're with me, there's no leaving early. This is in the backyard, so I was good with it - till the deer start moving again.

Honestly considering a padlock instead of a caribiner clip for their safety harnesses. Then, I could leave them all day should I be so inclined.

And, nice deer.

Decided to take a walk through a few thickets to hopefully jump up one. Decided to sit against a tree along an old overgrown logging trail.

Oh they are everywhere. I'll do some thinning after deer season. If there is someone shooting squirrels, then I have trespassers.
I picked a bad day to do this, it's fricking hot
