Revised list.

I dropped 4 (OT T Weathersby, DT D Mack, DE K Phillips, CB U Umadi) and added 4 (WR Charlot, DT J Washington, LB L Lewis, and LB A McGinnis).

QB - 1
J McMillan 6-1, 170 TX 3*

RB - 4
D Guice 5-11, 207 LA 4*
N Brosette 6-0, 207 LA 4*
D Ducre 5-11, 238 LA 4* (FB?)
B Bouton 6-1, 230 LA 3* (TE, but moves to FB)
(lose out on K Merritt)

WR - 4
T Johnson 6-1, 191 LA 5*
D Charlot 6-0, 193 LA 4* - flipped from before
J Ferguson 6-5, 205 LA 4*
L Fournette 5-9, 170 LA 3*
(lose out on D Lodge and D Dillon, stays w/UF)

TE - 1
F Moreau 6-5, 225 LA 3*

OL - 4
H Shipley 6-5, 283 TX 3* OT (TE, but moves to OT)
G Brown 6-6, 253 OH 3* OT
M Teuheme 6-4, 340 TX 5* OG
A Magee 6-5, 315 LA 3* OG
(lose out on T Weathersby)

DL - 3
D Jackson 6-6, 245 TN 3* DE
I Washington 6-4, 240 LA 3* DE
J Washington 6-3, 290 LA 3* DT
(lose out on D Mack, CC Jefferson, K Phillips, A Key, P Wanogho)

LB - 2
L Lewis 6-3, 225 MS 4*
A McGinnis 6-2, 226 LA 3*

CB - 3
K Tolliver 6-2, 185 FL 5*
D Jackson 5-11, 175 LA 4*
X Lewis 6-0, 175 LA 4*
(lose out on K Sheffield, H Hill, U Umadi, and J Martin)

S - 2
J Cutrer 6-2, 170 MS(JC) 3*
J Reid 6-0, 193 LA 3*
(lose out on J Peters)

LS - 1
B Ferguson 6-1, 235 GA 2*

This is a class of 25.
3 5*
8 4*
13 3*
1 2*
An average of 3.52

I don't think missing RB Merrit and WR Dillon hurt at all. Tackles T Weathersby or J Tillery would have been nice, but I think we have enough at OT. With the 3 CBs we get, the others aren't really missed.

The misses that hurt? DL! D Mack at DT hurts. With the need at DE, the misses there hurt even more. CC Jefferson stays with UF. We miss on K Phillips and A Key and P Wanogho goes to Burnt. The 3 3* players we get are good, but the numbers and quality is disappointing considering need.

Many might be disappointed with a class average of 3.52, but I like this class. I'd like to get players like D Mack, C Jefferson, A Key, P Wanogho, and J Peters, but they are reaches at this point. I still like who we get instead.

Mack will probably be a really good player but after next year will will have so many dominate DT's we won't know what to do with them. Ed Alexander, Ed Oliver, Rashard Lawrence, Bristol Guidry, glen Logan and a shot with Kendell jones. Each of these guys we have a possibility of landing ( I doubt we get all of them) but adding even 2-3 of these guys and having SR Lacouture, and JRs godchaux and valentine, we won't need anymore DT. LB and DE is where we are hurting

Weathersby, Dillon, Key, Prince, Peters. Wouldn't rule our any of these guys.

Mack and Jefferson are long shots

You really can't rule out anyone in recruiting. But there is unrealistic hope and realistic chances.

I think there's a good chance with players like Prince, Peters, and Key. Maybe even Weathersby, Dillon, Mack, and Jefferson.

But my goal was to be as realistic as possible, to actually predict the final 25.

I hear you. Personally, I think that being realistic would say that at least 1-2 of them flip to us, but there's no way of telling which ones.

Could be. We could get any one of Prince, Key, or Jefferson. Maybe even someone else.

Just not as likely.

Second revised list.

With 19 commitments, there are 6 spots left.
There seems to be 14 players still in the mix.

QB T Gibson 6-4, 204 FL 4*
RB K Merritt 5-11, 206 LA 4*
WE D Charlot 6-0, 193 LA 4*
WR D Dillon 5-11, 173 LA 4*
OT T Weathersby 6-4, 295 TX 4*
DT J Washington 6-3, 290 LA 3*
DT TD Moton 6-2, 310 LA 3*
DE A Key 6-5, 230 GA 4*
DE P Wanogho 6-8, 250 AL 4*
DE D Jackson 6-6, 245 TN 3*
LB L Lewis 6-3, 225 MS 4*
CB I Marshall 6-1, 190 CA 5*
S J Peters 6-1, 206 MS 4*
S J Reid 6-0, 193 LA 3*

Of these 14, I see D Charlot, J Washington, D Jackson, and L Lewis as the best bets to join the 19 commitments, leaving 2 spots.

This gets tricky, but I will go with DE A Key and S J Reid to round out the 25.

QB - 1
J McMillan 6-1, 170 TX 3*
(lose out on T Gibson)

RB - 4
D Guice 5-11, 207 LA 4*
N Brosette 6-0, 207 LA 4*
D Ducre 5-11, 238 LA 4* (FB?)
B Bouton 6-1, 230 LA 3* (TE, but moves to FB)
(lose out on K Merritt)

WR - 4
T Johnson 6-1, 191 LA 5*
D Charlot 6-0, 193 LA 4*
J Ferguson 6-5, 205 LA 4*
L Fournette 5-9, 170 LA 3*
(lose out on D Lodge and D Dillon, stays w/UF)

TE - 1
F Moreau 6-5, 225 LA 3*

OL - 4
H Shipley 6-5, 283 TX 3* OT (TE, but moves to OT)
G Brown 6-6, 253 OH 3* OT
M Teuheme 6-4, 340 TX 5* OG
A Magee 6-5, 315 LA 3* OG
(lose out on T Weathersby)

DL - 4
A Key 6-5, 230 GA 4* DE
D Jackson 6-6, 245 TN 3* DE
I Washington 6-4, 240 LA 3* DE
J Washington 6-3, 290 LA 3* DT
(lose out on D Mack, TD Moton, CC Jefferson, K Phillips, P Wanogho)

LB - 1
L Lewis 6-3, 225 MS 4*
(lose out on A McGinnis, seems LSU never wanted him)

CB - 3
K Tolliver 6-2, 185 FL 5*
D Jackson 5-11, 175 LA 4*
X Lewis 6-0, 175 LA 4*
(lose out on I Marshall, K Sheffield, H Hill, U Umadi, and J Martin)

S - 2
J Cutrer 6-2, 170 MS(JC) 3*
J Reid 6-0, 193 LA 3*
(lose out on J Peters)

LS - 1
B Ferguson 6-1, 235 GA 2*

This is a class of 25.
3 5*
9 4*
12 3*
1 2*
An average of 3.56

Many might be disappointed with a class average of 3.56, but I like this class. I'd like to get players like T Gibson, T Weathersby, D Mack, TD Moton, C Jefferson, P Wanogho, I Marshall, and J Peters, but they are reaches at this point.

I still like who we get instead.

This class is very strong at RB, WR, and CB. It is solid at DL and OL. More LBs would have been nice.

A lot of trust is being put in the improvement of Jennings/Harris and in S Patterson/F Franks.

Odd how YOU say Lewis likely will not visit since he is scheduled to. Also odd how YOU say Charlot is Bama when he's decommitted and Dillon is still in the mix when he is committed.

And I also said no on Gibson, Moton, and Marshall.

As for Weathersby still being in the mix, sure, but LSU is likely behind Okie and Arkie both.

I'll assume you agree on the others since you made no comment otherwise.

Derrick Dillon
Toby Weathersby
Leo Lewis
Torrance Gibson
Arden Key
Prince Tega Wanogho Jr
Dylan Jackson
Jamal Peters

Torrance Gibson is the only one I feel like I'm taking a leap on, feeling very good about the rest of these

Its been discussed on the board. Look for it, but there is a good shot he doesnt make the trip.

And? He still ends up there

Not comparing apples to apples.

Yep, maybe so. Hope not, would like to have him

Maybe on Prince, no on the rest.

Buck, getting those 8 means oversigning by 2. But hey, Bama, Tennessee, and Tammy do that every year!

Why don't we just say this RATEAM, I'm posting a realistic prediction based on my opinion. You are posting as if your opinion is fact. See the difference? I doubt it.

It's not against the rules to take more than 25 recruits. It depends on how many players are actually on the team before the signing class. But to stay with the conventional 25, If we get the top tier guys on my list, I could see Moreau and Reid possibly not being part of this class, though I'm very excited about them too.

Yeah, I know the 25 is not a hardline, it just amazes me how "some" teams (wink, wink) ALWAYS go well over it. Amazing how that works out for them. How the NCAA never says anything.

This would be an unbelievable finish.
