You totally missed my reasoning for using the word "flop." I know it's called diving in soccer.

And it's not worse than you saying "cctv" instead of security camera

Only time I ever saw it was in UK.

I used flopping for the same reason I said ejection. You should be able to get it.

Chambers has struggled against crafty wingers all year, while playing pretty superb centrally, and yet Arsene immediately puts him in out wide. Makes no sense.

Ok maybe it was just me. I had never heard of the term until I briefly lived/studied in London.

Alright I knew I shouldn't have brought it up. Like I said I still love the sport. But I find this to be one of its major flaws (along with yellow card accumulation in UEFA and FIFA corrpuption obviously).

I don't really care. It's a global game, no reason Americans should mimic the English on every term just because we speak the same language. When people do so, I think it usually results in American soccer fans looking lIke complete dorks.

Eta: I think this is also critical to Americans forging their own identity in the game globally

To be fair, QPR's first penalty wasn't actually a penalty.

Really? The Spanish, Italians, and Turks all say "dive"? And it's not like Americans do sports better than the rest of the world or anything.

Have fun with your semantics instead of actually discussing stuff. I promise you don't sound like a dork at all when you proudly and pretentiously say "kit", "pitch", etc., with your American accent.

Meh... It was a bad challenge that was going to earn the PK unless the ball was won. QPR looked abysmal until the PK though.
