first off, merry x-mas everyone.

second, if you played any of these games (yes, i know they seem kinda random by comparison), please give me your $.02...if you played 2 or all 3, tell me how you'd rank them:

alien: isolation
shadows of mordor
destiny

i played 'alien: isolation' & 'shadows of mordor' and enjoyed both, and i'd narrowly give the edge to 'alien: isolation'. haven't played 'destiny', but the reviews have made me kinda weary; however, 2 of my friends are slobbering all over it (well, in multiplayer, anyway), so i don't know what to think, lol....on the flipside, they're hesitant about playing 'isolation' and 'mordor', so maybe some input by you guys will help sway (or confirm) some thoughts between the 3 of us. thanks....

If you already have two friends that like the D ..play it with them ..best social game out now. Especially if you like a fun fps exo and you di.t mind rng. Your friends will help you with all the high level stuff to get you good gear

Havent played SOM but Destiny was a big disappointment. Story was lacking and its not open world enough. Your home base in particular lacks any kind of character and intrigue. The light system is also a huge mess. The combat is great though and so is the multiplayer.

Alien Isolation is scary but repetitive and gets really boring after a while. I'd say its more of a rental.

See, I have a love hate relationship with alien but I thought it was great. I just rage quit a lot. Its very very hard and you get an incredible sense of accomplishment. But it can get annoying and I'd go a long time between playing it.

Som is fun but you've seen it before. It's also pretty repetitive.

Destiny: the more I think about it, the more I realize how insulting that game is. Still fun but not in the same class as the other two

see, i'm willing to give it a go with multiplayer in destiny, but i'm more frustrated with their stubbornness over trying out other titles (although, one of my friends seems willing, but the other keeps sucking him back into playing multiplayer full-time, lol). my attitude is like, hey, you gotta meet me in the middle, especially since judging by most of the comments i've read here & elsewhere, i'm the one who's taking a bigger leap of faith.

plus, one of 'em "helps" himself by taking advantage of bugs in the game, which is kind of a head-scratcher for me.....i mean, what's the point of playing? to brag to a bunch of anonymous online doofs that you "achieved" something you didn't even legitimately earn? maybe i'm in the minority, but having been on the losing end by the hands of some of those types of players, i'm not exactly gung-ho about it, lol...

anyway, thanks for the responses....keep 'em coming.

Played all 3.

In order of how I liked them:

Alien: Isolation
Shadows of Mordor
Destiny

Alien was a perfect survival horror game. I never felt safe. Never played anything like it before.

Shadow of Mordor was good but was really just a copy and paste of the Batman and AC games with a Tolkien wrap.

Destiny fricking sucked.
