Fournette is a great player but I'm not sure we'll ever look back and say he's better than Hill.

It's tough to tell, honestly. A guy with his measurables and work ethic may just go beyond what you think. This was just his freshman year. He's only going to get better as he continues to learn and adjust. With the way LSU can rotate backs in, we can keep him as fresh as we want if we need to. I have a feeling he'll still be like Hill in the fact that he'll be the workhorse and get 20+ touches a game.

Hill broke many 40+ yard td runs in two years as a Tiger. Fournette doesn't have a run longer than 30 yards I don't believe. Hill gets in the secondary, and he's gone. Fournette runs to contact in the secondary.

Agree other than LF finally had a 40+ run against aTm I believe. Also, remember that Hill was 2 years out of HS as a freshman. Two totally different types of runners IMO. Hill is strong but gets most of his yardage with great cutbacks and really has a burst when he runs to daylight. Fournette appears to be physically stronger and not quite as decisive when he sees daylight, although that began to change the last quarter of the season. LF loves to square up with contact but I think he'll learn to pick his spots for that and become better at cutbacks as time goes by. Impossible to say now if LF will be as good as Hill when he's 4 years out of HS but I would not bet against him.

If Jeremy had been a freshman at LSU we would know.

Leonard Fournette will be one of the greatest RB'S in LSU History before he leaves for the NFL

Hill was, still is, and always will be better than Fournette. That doesnt mean that Fournette wont be a great back. It just means that Hill was a once in a generation back.

At this point I wouldn't say for sure that Hill had better vision than Fournette. I think it took almost all season for Fournette to realize that he cannot outrun the pursuit on sweeps. He show vision and cutting ability on runs between the tackle, just not to the outside which I think is a decision he makes and not a lack of vision.
