Do you let them simmer for a few minutes or just throw them in and cut the heat?

Put em in. Cut the heat. Stir. Serve when firm. Fast.

I agree with the others. Toss in and cut the heat.
But frankly, I'm not a fan of the texture of the shrimp when doing that. I find it too firm. And I don't care for the shriveled up look if you let them simmer for a long while. Although I find the texture to be a little better. There's got to be some happy medium. Any thoughts on this?

about to throw mine in, all depends on the size of the shrimp. Real small ones cut the heat, a little larger ones cook for 30 secs or a min
