LOL. Seriously? If allthat ever occurred in the Bible was what you just stated, you might have a point. But c'mon man.....

With a brain and logic, you should be able to figure out that this is not true (or at least not a conclusion based on reason).

It was admittedly more of a troll than anything.

Ha gotcha. I'd say that the Roman Catholics have as good a claim as anyone to represent "true" Christianity (unfortunately, none of the claims are very good).

It takes a lot out of a person to have to keep convincing themselves that God doesn't exist when everything in creation screams the opposite.

A person has to be really hard up against God be an atheist. Its funny BC every time an atheist uses the Lords name in vain or swears against him, they are actually acknowledging Gods very existence and omniscience.

Good stuff.

It takes no effort whatsoever.

This is one of the dumbest things I've ever read on Tigerdroppings, and that's saying a lot.

can you imagine the reaction here if an article written by an atheist was posted here?

the person who wrote the article is a POS.

That's what I'm asking for.

But the bible doesn't even do a good job of explaining/teaching morality.

These questions would make physicist and biologists laugh. Dude, I couldn't begin to tell you what the other universe would be. It wouldn't just look a little different. Time might not exist. It might not be carbon based.

In other words, there's no evidence for it, it can't be seen, touched, observed, etc., to see if it's real or a just figment of someone's imagination produced by the need to fill a hole in a theory, correct?

I just don't understand why all of you super believers aren't driving around drunk with your family in the car all the time. I mean, heaven is the most amazing place imaginable, I'd be in a big hurry to get there as fast as I could, and I'd want to bring my family with me.

So it makes me question how much y'all truly believe.

It's amusing to me to see so many quoting the scripture without having any understanding of the it-both atheists and theists. Simply quoting something from the OT is useless when you are trying to 'prove' something about the God revealed in the NT. The interpretation of the OT is in the NT, at least, as far as *true* discipleship of Christ goes, and hence true Christianity.

No one can see the real meaning while carrying the baggage of modern, mainstream, Christianity. Faith is not simply believing, faith is acting out what is believed, in the terms of what it means in the gospel. According to the NT, men are not the authors of good, and neither do they have the free will to make choices related to that or even 'believing' (in NT terms).

Back to the OP; if you live the sort of life outlined in the NT, whether you are an atheist or believer, you will naturally live longer. That part was known somehow before science stepped up to begin help explaining why.

But the life the NT is pointing us towards is eternal and unending, and goes beyond this universe, or at the very least, the limitations we endure while we're here in this life.
