At home with some kind of croopy type crud the boys brought home. All three of us feel like crap so far mommy hanging I there. No hunting for a few days for me. Boys in foul mood being sick referee here I come.

Congrats oleyeller, I killed hundreds of greenheads the years I lived in Ark but the most excited Ive been is after the one and only mallard I killed on our woodie pond in FL panhandle. Enjoy it bc if you're like me it might never happen again

Ladder stand in grown up field. Several does worked their way through eating Cherokee briars then bedded down. Spike came through bawling like a calf with a dog biting his ear. Lil horny bastard ran all around looking for those does.

driving into Lafayette from BR this morning I saw wads of big ducks flying in across I-10...
additionally I saw wads of vehicles parked at the I-10 Butte Larose landing...
this next week maybe a good week...

Nice haul yeller! Mallards are always special. We hunt rice fields in southern Louisiana and don't kill but a few a year.
Didn't see a thing this morning until....Broke stand around 830 and grabbed the boy from the house. Took him to the shooting house cause I promised him a deer hunt for meeting his potty training goals. 10 minutes in a yearling 4 point walks out at 60 yards. We got to watch it for about 5 minutes. He loved it but he got mad because I wouldn't let him wave at it.
5 minutes later he was ready to go play.

Jwal, few new bucks on camera and lots of running. Scrape count has doubled since the 14th. Still not a whole bunch of rubbing.

Managed to get only one. I shot this sucker from my knees in a briar bush. (Cause I fell) Was a fantastic shot. Didn't make up for the other 4 that I missed. Seems like the older I get the faster these rabbits move. Still a great time.
