Since everyone is asking who we lost three games.

I have seen this again and again of how he sucked etc. I was sitting behind the bench at Ole Miss game first row. After first INT Mett came to sideline very animated and had all Offensive lineman there and Miles even came over, going over blocking scheme for over five minutes. Then another two coaches came over and they grabbed boards etc and started going over blocking assignments. The Offensive line was fricking up big time, he had zero confidence in them, I heard basically say that, and that is a big part of why he sucked. As a matter of fact, if you watch the Georgia game on last series both the right Guard and tackle blocked out, blitzer split them and nearly knocked him out. He didnt complete another pass, we lost. In Ole Miss game, same shite, and he went nuts.

No is is stupid for a QB to jump your line like that. Yeah, is that why they left him on ground in Bama game, probably.

But you want the truth, we lost those two games because our offensive line repeatedly blew its blocking assignments, and Mett got rattled and didn't play well. (And Landry was open for 10-20 yard passes the entire fricking game. Every damn play. I was yelling the whole time just throw the damn ball to Landry

He got greedy and threw in double and triple coverage repeatedly. That was on him.

OL is constantly a problem. We only look to be above average because that's what our scheme is built around, but they're just not a sound unit consistently enough. We've failed recruiting the position, attrition has nabbed us a few times, and our HC is incompetent at coaching up the unit that should be his area of expertise (he hasn't been able to hire anyone who has been able to as well).

eta. That bama game was atrocious.

Our head coach is an OL - think he could get the situation under control during a game?

you are retarded. We were getting massive yards per carry running the ball. NO REASON mett should have gone for all those long balls....NONE....Mett lost that game.....and there is no debate. He wanted to have a Heisman moment I believe, and thought he saw an opportunity against a depleted secondary. It wasn't one of his finer moments for sure.

After the 1st INT we should have stuck with the run.

After the 2nd INT WE ABSOLUTELY should have stuck with the run.. it was STILL working.. but they kept calling that same deep pass to the middle of the field on all 3 INTs..

That was a game after the 2nd INT I was wanting us to stick to the run, but we didn't

We still nearly pulled that one out

Lost the game because Ole Miss drove down the field to win the game on the last drive.

man, Tre dropped an Int early on in their GW drive. we'd have been in FG range if he just caught it and fell down.

These were not all one man routes. If it's not there you check it down or throw it away. You don't just chuck it up there. Those were on the QB.

yeah, a lot of things happened that could have changed that game. Stopping Ole Miss on 4th down would have helped. Don't get me wrong, Mett had a horrible first half but it's not the reason LSU lost, or the only reason. Still could have won that game.
