He laid an egg of sincere size this year at Michigan. Huge disappointment.

Big ten fans started calling him "nussbomb".

Good luck, gators. You're gonna need it with this bum.

He is great at player development but gets way too predictable with playcalling.

Yea he had decent offenses at Bama. Hell "I" could have a good offense with all that talent .

I didnt like his decisions or play calling at all.

Good luck gators.

All I've got to say is McElwain better be planning to have a heavy hand in the offense. He may even need to call the plays.

I'm sure mcelwain and Nuss will both have influence into offense.

Oh great, UF has had an inept offense for years has decided to hire the most inept offensive coordinator on the market.

Seriously Michigan's offense was like watching a UF spring scrimmage.

This is scary, was hoping we were going G to the shotgun spread like McElwain ran everywhere but Bama and this scares me into thinking he might try more Bama clone crap which will get his arse canned just like it did Muschamp.

Florida has neither the recruiting base nor the fan tolerance to run power pro style football, if we're not going shotgun spread or a wide open passing attack, McElwain is just going to be a Muschamp with a worse defense and a slightly better offense.

Terrible hire. Saban got rid of Nuss because he sucked. Wolverines was proof of that. Feel bad for Florida right now. Nuss was the reason we dont have 3 in a row right now.

For real? I think Florida has the recruiting base to run whatever they want.

It's possible to run power here, but there's a reason that despite playing in nearly 50% of the title games since 1980 none of the big 3 schools built there programs around run heavy power football ala LSU or Bama, it doesn't best utilize the existing talent base and nearly all the big HS in the state use the spread or spread option.

It's the equivalent of Bama becoming an Air Raid program like Texas Tech, sure it could work but it's going to piss the fans off and seems pointlessly hard.
