I agree. Solid but not elite.

Who knows what you're going to get out of Graham week-to-week

Cooks will be a bona fide stud in the future. I'm not sold on stills yet. He's a poor mans Mike Wallace in my opinion. A duo of Cooper and Cooks would be a nightmare to defend down the road. Of course there are bigger needs, but thats where the needs vs bpa debate comes into play.

You choose between the opportunity to go from bad to good by addressing a need, or the potential to go from good to elite in an area by grabbing bpa. You aren't hurting yourself either way, but I can tell you which one is more stressful to plan against.

Well you called 1100 yards Amari Cooper's ceiling. I think that's a little outlandish

Yep, you're an idiot.

And also he doesn't make many contested catches. I will say this though, he is quick, good in traffic and space

You should have stopped when you read these 2 sentences. How can you not make contested catches, but be good in traffic???

I will agree that he has had games where he had a few drops, but name a WR that hasn't had a few bad games and suffered from drops. Now, if he was doing it multiple times a year, then it would be something to be concerned about.

Weren't we all complaining about OBJ and his drops coming into the draft?

My point exactly and Coopers volume of targets, the drops aren't that bad. Julio Jones and Calvin Johnson both drop a shitload of easy catches as well.

Cooper has talent, flat out undeniable talent.

While Stills and Cooks are solid receivers, there's no reason why we should limit ourselves to two solid receivers (3 if you want to include Jimmy Graham). Colston is going to be gone some day and if Cooper is a star from day 1, with a rebuilt OL as well using 2nd-4th round picks for a guard and center and picking up Iupati, the offense we're used to seeing will come back to life.

I just find no point to not go BPA when the position we're in is rare in itself. We don't have this bad of a down year every year, make most of it and grab yourself a stud player at any position. If its Cooper, than lets get Cooper.

I agree, especially when guard and centers have better value outside the 1st round

No way we pass on Cooper. More offense at WR is needed so you grab him.

Obviously we need a 2-3 lineman in draft. Assuming Cooper is gone we take Collins. You can get a Center later on in 2nd or 3rd Round.

I agree, brother. I think we can figure it out with a combination of draft picks and FA. Is Iupati a realistic expectation?

With how the team can restructure, cut, and extend players that are underperforming or we want to lock up long term, we can theoretically get 24mil under the "140mil" cap.

That's with extending Brees, restructuring Galette, Graham, Byrd, and Lofton, and cutting Evans, Hawthorne, and Bush.

The highest paid Guard, Mankins, is getting paid 8.25mil/yr on average. I think a 5yr 40mil contract would be very sufficient in potentially pulling him away from SF.

I truly don't think cooper is as talented as Odell. Homer or not I straight up am in amazement by his skills where as cooper doesn't really wow me but hard to argue with his stats.

We shall see.

I agree with you on draft the bpa, especially if cooper is there. You absolutely take him

Comparing college stats is silly. Beckham didn't have a qb until his final season and even then he still had Landry and Hill on offense putting up 1000 yard production.

Cooper was the go to guy all season for Alabama

I personally prefer someone take Cooper ahead of us, I really don't feel like we need to draft back to back WRs in the 1st round. Now if its the 7th pick, we could probably score 2 mid-late 1st rounders. If its the 10th pick, we could probably score a 1st and a 2nd.

A team we should look at to trade though: Cleveland.

Owns Buffalo's 2015 1st round pick which will land ~17-20 and their own which will land ~14-17.
