I don't exactly trust this FO with high picks, so if you can grab a definite stud in Cooper in the top 10, go for it.

That's the spirit. Let's continue drafting where we have no need.

His ability doesn't approach arguable Please tell me what can be argued about his ability, I'm all ears.

Good route runner? Best since Moss according to Chris Carter
Good speed? Check, 4.3
Good size? 6'1" 210 check
Run after the catch? Best in the draft
High point the ball? Check
Catch in traffic? Check
Good blocker? Check

This kid dominated the SEC as a true freshman. His only knock is that he's been knicked up here and there. But I would love to hear you argue about his ability

Well first of all, a true #1 WR is a need.

2nd of all, drafting for need is stupid. You draft the best talent available at a position of need. You rank players in tiers and then decide who best fits in that tier on your team.

And that usually has nothing to do with talent and everything to do with the will to work

Average size, good not great speed, force fed the ball which contributed to his great stats. He looks like Crabtree to me who was can't miss and hasn't missed but hasn't set the league on fire.

All of this. 4 years from now when Cooks and Stills are the only targets in New Orleans people will be wondering why the saints passed on a top 5 WR in the league. It's a moot point though, because the saints are drafting him if he's there. If you think Payton and Loomis are going to let that shiny new toy end up elsewhere when they have the opportunity to draft him then you're kidding yourself. Payton's dick gets hard at the thought of it.

Compared to who? Calvin Johnson

Someone should tell Antonio Brown and Emmanuel Sanders and Odell Beckham to stop scoring touchdowns because they aren't big.

I'll ban bet you right now he runs faster than a 4.40

force fed the ball

Well the thing is, this doesn't make any sense. If he's force fed the ball then he's either not making catches or making tough catches. Alabama throws it to Cooper a lot because he gets open a lot. He had 1,000 as a true freshman and didn't start until mid season.

Your normal can't miss receivers(CJ, AJ Green, Julio, Fitz, Andre Johnson)

Only one of them was drafted high and none were considered can't miss though.

I don't care that much.

Wrs are a crapshoot in the draft historically. The Lions drafted 3 can't miss WRs in a row and they all kinda missed, two of them massively. I'm not gonna put him in the HoF just yet.

Well obviously I don't see us taking a center in the 1st round, maybe the 2nd round. But other than that, you're pretty spot on.

5 wide with Graham, Colston, Cooks, Stills, and Cooper

and solid OL protection? Possibilities are endless.

True. I was thinking about from a money standpoint though. I guess we could afford all of them since Colston should restructure and the other 3 WR's would be on rookie contracts.

Yes because there will NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN be an elite WR in FA or the draft. We have to draft a player we do not even need because he is great.

Look at what paying Brees and 2 guards has gotten us. Might as well add a receiver that will only be here through his first contract because we will not be able to give him his second much larger contract.

Cooper is a can't miss. I don't think it would be wise to pass him up, need or not.

No such thing. Stop being a Bama homer. First the Gumps complain Ingram is an all-pro but unable to perform due to a poor O-line. Now you have a chance to pick a top O-lineman but because there's not one from Alabama available, we need to draft a WR.

If Cooper is available when we pick and someone wants him, let's make them pay to get him. We have greater needs.

Glad that you know our cap situation 5 years down the line

Well it would be a lot easier to find a guard or center in FA or later in the draft
