Andrew Luck
AJ Green
Odell Beckham Jr
Josh Gordon
Adrian Peterson
Jeremy Hill
CJ Anderson
Joique Bell

Obviously have some time, but as of today I'm thinking Hill, Green and ODB.

first of all, what is the criteria for keeping them.
Secondly, it's OBJ. He's not a dirty bastard.

No criteria as of now. Non-ppr format.

Odell will forever be ol' dirty bastard

Past couple years it has been set up so that your three keepers count towards your first the draft picks. So everyone basically starts off drafting in the 4th round.

I keep Hill, J. Bell, and OBJ. I never care about QBs, so that is why Luck is out. God knows who will throw to Gordon, so he is out. C.J. Anderson is too tough to tell how his offensive system will actually be

Andrew Luck - keep
AJ Green - Andy Dalton sucks
Odell Beckham Jr - keep
Josh Gordon - unknown QB
Adrian Peterson - unknown
Jeremy Hill - keep
CJ Anderson - would not keep
Joique Bell - would not keep

I just dont get this. There is always a Romo, WIlson, Big Ben, eli etc in the later rounds who will only score like 3 or so points a week less on average

assuming you get to keep where you drafted them and assume a one round penalty above their draft position of the previous year.

Odell and Green for sure.

Then I'd let the off-season play out. See what happens with AP. If he's reinstated and ends up Dallas he's a ist keep. Other than that I'd probably choose Luck.

I'm thinking those two are my best keepers as well. It's gonna be tough to let go of Hill.

Here is why:

Andrew Luck - the most longevity of all players. Yes, normally I draft QB value in the late rounds, but you have a chance to retain possibly the best Fantasy QB for years to come. In theory, he is no where near his prime yet.

AJ Green - WR's have more longevity than RB's. They have less risk of getting injured and have longer careers at high levels of production. Teams are more likely to sign them to longer deals. Yes, Dalton isn't a super star yet, but he has a pretty decent start to his career. My guess is that he'll continue to improve, and the good thing is that he feeds AJ regardless (see last night when he still targeted AJ multiple times despite being locked down by Talib and being hurt)

Odell Beckham Jr - see Green. Young, impressive WR. I am kind of curious how the production goes next year. Sophomore season will be telling, but I think he is worth keeping over the others.

Josh Gordon - too risky due to QB situation.

Adrian Peterson - getting old for a RB. too much uncertainty in his future

Jeremy Hill - impressive rookie season, but he is not an every down, every drive workhorse right now. Gio still takes some carries/targets away from him. Gio may get traded/cut in the future, but right now, I personally don't think Hill is worth the keep.

CJ Anderson - looks promising for sure, but Peyton could be on the decline, and there's no telling what will happen if/when Ball and Hillman get healthy

Joique Bell - nope. he was great value in drafts this year in the 5th+ round, but he's not keeper material

Thanks kennypowers and everyone who responded. You make a very valid point of why I should keep Luck over Hill, and I agree.

The only thing to add here is that if you aren't touching RB's until the 4th Round, you may be behind the curve a little bit. You'll just have to be aggressive in the middle rounds and on the waivers with getting some RB's.

When you think about it, there are always some good late round and waiver pickups at the RB position. They may not be season-long options, but you can survive, especially if the rest of your league isn't super active on the waiver wire.

Here are some examples of late round and waiver pickups that were solid this year:
Forsett
Ingram
Bradshaw
Hillman & Anderson
Hill
Asiata
Fred Jackson

I'm in a Keeper League we get to keep 3 guys in, but they have a 2 round draft tax (from where they were drafted the previous season.)

If a guy was drafted in the 10th rough last year, and is kept, he counts as an 8th round pick this season. If a guy was undrafted last year, he would count as a 14 round pick.

I have several options:
Gio as my 3rd Rd
Hill as my 14th Rd
Benjamin as my 13th Rd
Alshon as my 12th Rd
Gates as my 6th Rd
Olsen as my 7th Rd
Hyde as my 14th round (or 13th round if I also keep Hill)
J Matthews as my 14th round (or higher if I keep Hyde and Hill)

Everything will depend on this years draft and the trades, who makes the best off season acquisitions, who strengthens their OL, etc....

Right now, I would Keep Alshon, Hill, and Hyde. (If Gore signed a 3 year multi million deal though, I may not keep Hyde and I would keep Benjamin.

I'm hoping my league is going to 5 keepers next year though.
