Son's Basketball Coach Inappropriate Conduct

My 6 year-old is enjoying playing in the youth league out here in Arizona after our move, but I've been having problems with his coach - it's another player's father and generally a nice guy.
I sometimes attend practices and don't miss a game. I've heard Tycoon (we'll call him that for this) utter the phrase "God damn it" at least twice each practice I've been too. As a Catholic, I'm not the best one for sure, it offends me and I don't want my little guy picking up on that. The coach claims to be a Catholic too, so he shouldn't be using that kind of language. He even has the team say a prayer before each game.
I've talked to some other fathers and a few feel the same. Others don't care.
My question is, what should I do (if anything)? I don't want to start a rift with the team - they're on a four game winning-streak. But I don't want my boy around that.

You should ask the coach to watch his language around the kids.
This isn't a hard question.
If he doesn't change anything, then you have a dilemma.

maybe your son should play in the girls league.

Your kid hears worse on the 2nd grade play ground. Chalk it up.

Just tell him "Your my boy but it would be awesome if he wouldn't say 'xyz' in front of your kid. Wait until at least middle school"

How about, I don't know talking to the coach like a man? You know, like instead of posting this bullshite on a message board?

I wouldn't call what he is doing inappropriate conduct

No shite.
As for the language, I'd maybe ask him if he could maybe cut it out or at least try not to. Outside of that, there isn't much to do really.
I'm not sure I'd be bothered by that, though I understand why you (OP) are.

"Hey man, I've niticed you've dropped a couple of GD's during practice. I like your passion and think you do a good job with my son, it would make me feel a lot better if I knew he wasn't hearing this at practice as a 6 year old." Talk to him like men should talk to each other. Problem solved.

Ask him to please watch his language. He may not even know he is doing it. If it continues, find a different team for your son to play on.

write him a letter expressing your feelings.

6 year olds dude....who cares
I would definetely be having words with him about his language, I'd do it nicely the first time saying something like "I know you are trying your best and can get into it sometimes, but I'd appreciate you not cussing around the kids". He might not even realize he is doing it. If he continued after that, then I'd step it up

I thought when I clicked on this thread is be reading a coach who has no son on the team inviting some of the kids over for sleepovers
