Don't do it if you don't want, I don't care. But if you're trying to compare apples to apples, LSU was starting a true sophomore or younger 4/7 of those years.

Isnt that the point? Whats going on that they cant get the QBs ready to play/refuse to call passing plays/cant recruit a pocket passer/whatever, pick one...or several.

BTW, Sabans staff turned a fricking RUNNING BACK in to a pocket passer, Miles staff cant turn several highly rated dual threat QUARTERBACKS into even a serviceable QB

There are well-documented problems with QB recruiting... Personally I think Les has done an outstanding job since '08 considering he's had to hide a QB more often than not. When he hasn't had to do that, we've had two proficient offenses and one year where we fired our OC.

ETA: we are also picking up on QB recruiting in a big way

Sabans staff turned a QB into a running back and back again.

ALso, Meatburger took advantage of an NFL caliber OC, TWO NFL starters at WR and an NFL starting caliber RB to lean on. That season was an outlier.

If you take that season out we have possibly the worst passing game in the the SEC over that span of time.

Zach Lee was a can't miss prospect until the MLB offered him $5 Million, Gunner Kiel enrolled in school at Notre Dame before informing the staff he wouldn't be honoring his commitment. Those are really the only big prospects we've recruited since '08 other than Harris.

Again, the biggest problem is that we've been recruiting guys that aren't SEC-ready out of H.S. Guys like Stephen Rivers and Hayden Rettig... Cam seems to be changing our approach.

"Meat burger" had those same tools in 2012 besides the OC, so I don't see why the fact that they developed makes it an outlier. If you're saying that is because of Cam, that only furthers the notion that we're in the process of digging ourselves out of a rut.

What do you mean by SEC ready? What do you think Cam is doing to change QB recruiting? These are serious questions, I dont keep up with things in the offseason.

Or failed to identify the potential of a QB on his roster... Take your pick. Not like Sims was a contributor in the running game.

Like I always say, its seems Da Gumps got shamrocks up their asses. This should have been a down year for them. Instead they prolly going to win it all.

Some guys like Manziel, Tebow, Prescott, Murray, Russell, etc. are physically able to come in and compete immediately. Others like Sims, Flynn, McElroy, etc. would be eaten alive playing that young but are good QBs with a few years in the system.

IMO, we've targeted too many of the latter and not enough of the former.

Holding the program back? The only people that are holding this program back are these Les Lovers and Les himself.

what part about a winning program do you not understand ? Les wins big games against top 10 programs ! Look at the link - only 6 coaches have winning % since 2007 6 Nick is the only one to do better than Les - your a jack arse to piss on his record

Not just winning, but winning at a rate better than 99% of all college programs in the past ten years.

This ho-hum attitude toward the Les years by the negative clowns here is fricking laughable given the LSU football history in the last twenty five years before Les arrived.

Even more laughable are the retards who think anything posted here has any impact of LSU football results.

Auburn is pretty damn consistant

But not as consistent as LSU in the decade of Miles. 7 Double digit victory seasons, an 8 and probably two 9's after the bowl game. Should he have won a handful more? Yes, in my opinion he was largely responsible for a couple of the losses. But hard to argue with 10.4 wins per season for that long of a time.
