He would have made 1/17 of the league minimum for a 10 year veteran. so...

1/17 * 910,000 = $53,529.41

You could buy a new tricked out truck like a Silverado, Tundra or F-150 with that money or pay for your kids college immediately and never have to deal with student loans.

I think after 6 seasons the minimum gets bumped to over a million

Quick google search yielded this:

And it looks like he was in the league in some capacity for 11 or 12 years (not sure what counts as a year of "in the league" though).

You also got to think that Grossman was pretty much their only option that would even be able to run the offense

So they probably would've thrown him a small signing bonus his way as well

I talked to Rex Grossman today ...Let's just say he has reasons to turn down the #Browns - Palm Beach vs. Cleveland & he's been kite surfing

Right?

He's made 16 mil. 50k is 1/300th of what he's made. Think about that. For one of us, that's a couple hundred bucks. You wanna give up Christmas to make a couple hundred extra bucks?

The contract that he signed with the Browns in training camp was for $955K(league minimum), with a 50K sigining bonus.
