Didn't want to go balls deep on the league for the holidays

quote:

Free agent QB Rex Grossman has rejected an offer to sign with the Browns for Week 17. Grossman is choosing instead to spend the holiday with his family. We can't blame him. The Browns have nothing to play for, and Grossman isn't in need of a one-week paycheck at the league minimum at the expense of missing Christmas. The Browns will turn to undrafted rookie Connor Shaw vs. Baltimore.

i cant believe Arizona isnt doing something

they are wasting a great opportunity, and in the cap era, you can go 11-5 and then 5-11 quickly.

Jamarcus Russell continues his vigil by the phone, waiting for the call.

Why Grossman of all people though? Out of all QBs on the market, he is by far the worst QB there is.

Should've won the Heisman in 2001.

He knows the playbook.

Played the last 2-3 seasons with Kyle Shannon and spent training camp with the browns

He probably asked if they were going to let him unleash the dragon, then hung up immediately after they asked "What?"

He had a guy on the other line wanting a set of white walls. Easy decision...

For like 6 days of work?

I think we can delay Christmas for a couple days for that

I talked to Rex Grossman today ...Let's just say he has reasons to turn down the #Browns - Palm Beach vs. Cleveland & he's been kite surfing

So he turned them down for pretty much the exact reason everyone figured. Dude's knee deep in pussy.

Arians HAS to be thinking about signing a free agent. About to get knocked out in the first round with Lindley/Thomas at the helm. Even Stanton is pretty bad.
