Star Trek is back to the point where the studio has no idea where to take it.

This will be the last film the current cast is on.

Pine and Urban need to go find new franchises

Its always been generic space action movies with the Star Trek name attached. At least now we'll get good action scenes.

If 3 makes bank, they should try to keep the gang together for at least 1 more.

The problem is this ensemble is limited to the movies only. ST's original cast were together for 3 seasons on original run, plus over a decade in syndication. They cannot develop a loyal following demanding they stay together that way.
