Convert using google or just screenshot and show to tuk tuk driver. Also, you can save maps on google and use them in airplane mode. I just starred where i wanted to go in advance and then pointed to it when showing the moped taxi's and tuk tuks

Nearly a third of the hundred+ people I've met in Thailand disagree with you. There is a strong resentment against the King and the police over there. Not sure if you've been keeping up, but there has been serious unrest there for the past year. I was there over the summer, during the riots/coup/red-vs-yellow, and got a first hand look at the situation. Get some people drunk and ask them how they really feel and they'll open up. Most Thais love the guy? Absolutely. But the idea of unanimous approval has faded quickly.

I agree. You should stay one or two nights and go visit a different city before you head to the island. Make the most of your time there.
