No it's not.

I'm not from the area, but I do have to go there like once a year. It can be kind of shady. I think it's a pretty part of Mississippi, and it's a shame that it's not even a shell of what it used to be.

what the frick are you talking about?

Bowies and andrews on will be fun on NYE, Under the Hill Saloon is fun too. It's not a dangerous place. People of all types go there to listen to live music and dance. One of my best friends is in a band that plays there a lot and I've been to hang out with him tons....never seen so much as an argument.

No. I honestly don't even know what he's talking about and I was raised there and have tons of friends there.

Check the Dunleith (I think that's it). I've always enjoyed my times there, and there are numerous houses in on the land. Maybe they have a party.

I'm pretty sure the crime rates are higher than the Mississippi and national averages.

Yeah but who wouldn't feel safe in Natchez??

I wonder how many murders are in Natchez yearly?

It's easy for people familiar with the area to stay away from rough parts but visitors can get lost.

Look, I'm not shitting on Natchez. Same goes for every city in Mississippi (almost), but the truth is Natchez has more crime than the Mississippi average.

Just giving the OP some knowledge.

Born n raised in Vidalia and can tell ya that unless you are part of old money or don't mind slumming it with sketchy characters, Natchez is hard to enjoy. Garden club has sold the middle class down the river and have tried to focus on tourism... The only problem is that they really stink at it, but are too proud to admit it. So, what's left is either poverty or old blue hair inheritance. Middle class has been decimated.

It doesn't strike me as a place full of old money. It seems really small. Now, savannah, charleston and other places, sure. But, not natchez.
